My name is Jenny Barandich. I am a mother to three beautiful children and birth doula, serving Toronto, York Region (including Thornhill, Richmond Hill, King City, Maple, Vaughan, Woodbridge, Aurora, Newmarket, Markham, Stouffville, as well as Bradford and Uxbridge) and the GTA (Canada). I speak English, Russian, and Hebrew (basic level), and I am able serve you in any of the first two languages, mixing in the third, if need be.
My own childbirth experiences have led me to my calling as a doula today. Since welcoming our son in 2005 I became fascinated with pregnancy, birth and the capability of woman’s body, and have been learning all about it ever since. Today I believe that every mother can have a positive and empowering birth through encouragement, kindness and physical comfort. In 2011, following the birth of our second baby, I decided to become a doula, and later chose to train and certify with Childbirth International (CBI).
In order to serve families and deepen my understanding of childbearing and birth, I will probably always have a list of classes and trainings I would like to take next, but most of my training still comes from raising my own children – birthing them, caring for them, teaching them, and most of all enjoying them! I have aspirations to become a midwife one day, when my children are older.
Birth is a sacred moment in life, and I aim to give love and support to women as they embark on their journey into motherhood.
